Emergency Management Services

The Office of Emergency Management is charged with the development and continuous maintenance of a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan to serve the people and property of Presque Isle County.

Our primary missions include prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

For emergency management to be effective, plans and contingencies at all levels must be thought-out, well-established and practiced.

Successful emergency management must be collaborative, coordinated, comprehensive, flexible, integrated, professional, progressive and risk-driven.

What happens to things that you recycle? If you live in Cheboygan, Emmet, Otsego or Presque Isle County, they are processed and marketed through the Emmet County Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

National Flood Insurance Program

The NFIP is a federal program enabling property owners to purchase flood insurance as protection against flood losses, while requiring state and local governments to enforce floodplain management ordinances.
