General Summary
Michigan State University Extension brings research-based educational programs to the people of the state to improve their lives and communities. County-based staff members, in concert with on-campus faculty members, serve every county with programming. Presque Isle County MSU Extension provides information and education that helps people identify problems and find solutions to improve their health, homes, families, farms, businesses, and communities.

MSU Extension’s goal is to provide practical, timely, research-based information and educational programs to help residents meet local needs in agriculture and natural resources; health and nutrition; children, youth, and families including 4-H youth development; and community and economic development. Experienced faculty and staff members in Presque Isle County and on MSU’s campus guide Extension programs.

Today’s problems are very complex. Solutions require the expertise of numerous disciplines and the collaboration of many partners. Operating together with MSU AgBioResearch and other MSU units, MSU Extension extends the university’s resources to all Michigan citizens and assists them in meeting their learning needs through a variety of educational strategies, technologies, and collaborative arrangements.
