The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for developing and continually maintaining a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan to protect the people and property of Presque Isle County. Our core mission spans all phases of emergency management: prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

Be Prepared

Creating a Family Emergency Preparedness Plan is one of the most effective ways to ensure your household stays safe during any emergency—natural or otherwise. In a crisis, it’s easy to panic; having a clear plan helps you stay mentally and physically prepared, reduces stress, and allows you to keep your family calm and protected. Your plan should include a disaster supply kit, essential emergency items, and clearly organized supplies that are easy to access. While every family’s plan will be unique, following general preparedness guidelines will help set you up for success.

Damage Assessment Survey

If your primary residence was affected by the recent storm, your feedback is especially important and greatly appreciated. The Office of Emergency Management develops and maintains the county’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, focusing on prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. After a disaster, county and state officials rely on accurate damage information, which cannot be gathered efficiently by word of mouth alone. A short voluntary survey helps us collect essential data, analyze impacts, and make informed decisions. Your participation ensures we receive the information needed to support effective recovery efforts, please complete the self-assessment tool by clicking this link.
